dixieland delight

I bet you didn't know that we didn't need men to take us to the concert....shocking!!!

I had so much fun celebrating the beginning of summer vacay yesterday. Laura, Chris, and I hung out at the pool and had a great time watching middle school kids do water tricks. Of course, my chicken fat got burnt, but I also got the most interesting burn line to date. I bought a new suit and it has gold circles around the halter part and I definitely got burned on the inside of the circle. It took me about 15 minutes to figure out that's what caused the burn line.

Then later, Laura and I went to Wild Bills to see Joe Nichols (for free-thanks Kyle!). I can't remember the exact name of the house band, but they were even better than Joe Nichols, but in his defense, he sings alot of slow songs, and the house band was all upbeat. We ran into some of her friend's relatives and had a fun time hanging out with them. I wish I lived closer to Wild Bills because it is so fun! :-) I'm so glad to have a concert buddy down here...we already have plans to go see Brad Paisley if anyone wants to go!!!

Summer vacation is off to a great start...
