So I haven't blogged in forever and Chassidy reminded me of this about 2 weeks ago. I can not imagine being busier than I was for the holidays this year...and I don't even have a manfriend or kids or anything like that yet... :-)
So, I'm writing from Sanibel Island, which is located on the Gulf Side of Florida, near Ft. Myers. The temperature has been hot- almost record shattering 80s and sunny. Which means I am slightly burnt, but having lots of fun. The fam and I did a 2 hour bike ride on Christmas morning which was nice, but I was ready to get the pool about an hour after we started. My sister got me a fabulous purse and shirt...but the purse kind of smells funny, so I'm going to febreeze it when I get back to ATL.
Christmas Eve mom and I went to a church service on the beach near the lighthouse. It was so amazing- sunset over the water and candles lit (mine blew out- God knows how fire and I don't get along!!!!). When we went to actual Christmas Eve service later that night, we were told almost 2000 people were there...so awesome!!
We are here until Monday, then it's back up to Uncle Randy and Aunt Beth's (shout out to Aunt Beth who actually reads this thing!!!!), then back to ATL on Tuesday. The fam is staying through New Year's Eve, so we might try to go to the Chick-Fil-A bowl. If not, a nice dinner and champagne at midnight will be fine...I hate New Year's and I'm very glad this year will be low stress.
So that's it for now...no pics yet...hopefully I'll get them up before I leave for San Diego in February...ooooooooh and I still need to post pics from "A Sharky Christmas" too...wow, I am behind.
