show me heaven...

So, I haven't blogged in a long time, because I haven't had too much to say or write about. My trip home to Ohio was pretty uneventful, except my mom got the flu, which she hadn't had in years and years.

Right now I'm preparing for my 1st field trip to Jekyll Island with my 5th grade students. Please pray that we get more money in. For those of you reading this that don't know about Jekyll, it costs $200 to go and we need about $10 grand more by this Friday. For many, this could be their first trip to the beach. I will post lots and lots of pictures after this trip. :-)

This weekend marks the three year anniversary of my grandma's death. For those of you that love my cookies, cakes, and treats, you need to thank her because she taught my mom and me how to bake so well. She was the kind of granny who took care of me when I was sick and made me take a 20 minute "siesta" with her. She believed in using butter in everything and putting half and half on her cereal. She was even known to skip at the ripe age of 80. :-)

But the best part about my grandma was how much she hated TV...but she would jump on her trampoline while watching the news. Miss you gee-ma...

I love your grandma stories. They are so sweet! I am very glad that she taught you how to bake! However I do not think that you have her disdain for TV. It must be our generation!
