Later on Tuesday, the fam and I went to the Indians game and ate on the Party Deck. We had great seats right by the foul pole in right field. It was all you could eat (until 8:05) and all you could drink (pop), which was nice.
But we went to the game because I begged. My favorite player ever is Omar Vizquel. He played short stop for the Indians for 11 seasons. If you didn't see him in his prime, you missed a great show. He made unbelieveable plays, I mean unbelieveable and indescribable plays. I'll never forget some of the things he did in his time with the Tribe. I'll never forget when Omar hit a grand slam to win the game back around 1999 and when he hit .500 against the Yankees to get us to the World Series in 1997. I kept articles, have autographed pictures, and shirts. I even met him once, in Toronto, but don't have a picture to prove it because my mom didn't load her film correctly (luckily I've gotten over it).
Omar plays for the Giants now and this was his first time back in Cleveland since he had to leave (they wouldn't pay him) in 2004. He signed autographs before the game and was feted with a video montage of all his great plays in Cleveland. I had to keep my sunglasses on because I had tears in my eyes during the video. I think I'd still be standing there cheering for my man if the announcer wouldn't have said anything. Omar was cheered for louder than any other Indians player that night. He won the game for the Giants on a squeeze bunt play. And I cheered as loud as I could.
